A manifestation or strike is the public demonstration in support of a social goal or ideal by the implementation of a change in society’s structure. There have always been feminist strikes in the country, from 2007 to 2017 there were around 124 feminist manifestations of every kind in Mexico City.

The first violent one was the 25th of November 2019 when some groups of women committed vandalism by throwing stones, fire extinguishers, bombs, gases and wall writings.

Everyone was complaining against the vandalism made by these women. “Violence will not fix violence” was one of the arguments people said, without knowing the previous violent strikes made before in Mexico, such as Ayotzinapan, Student (1968) and 2 de octubre strike where students also vandalize but no one complained about it.

"From 2007 to 2017 there were around 124 feminist manifestations of every kind in Mexico City."

Feminists strikes are to protest against the violence they suffer and demand the government to act against it, and since the only way to be spotted is by vandalizing, it is worth the try. Thus, from Mexico, I learned that if I was to be killed, people would find it more valid to cry for the destroyed wall than for me.
